Best Practices:

Remember that some of the holidays coming up are Christmas, New Years, Hanukkah etc.
Submissions can be funny, heart-warming, dramatic etc
Make sure to categorize your spec in the "HOLIDAY" category when you upload.

Keep In Mind:

All Submissions remain Sole Property of You the Creator.
Spexster is not a Stock Footage website. Single clips with no sound will not be accepted. For the most potential to sell your work, check out “Best Practices” HERE
Your spec uploads can be previously shot spots OR brand new work.
All active submissions uploaded to the Spexster platform, will become readily available to sell to potential clients on the Spexster marketplace at the price the Creator sets for their work, whether you win the challenge or not.
Revisions requested by potential clients will most likely require VERY QUICK turnaround.
Prices will most likely require aggressive negotiation in order to sell to clients.
Please price your specs when submitting fit for the marketplace. Your pricing will not affect judging.

Rules:

- Spec Submissions (Up to 6 per Account) MUST be free and clear of EVER being sold, licensed or submitted to other or contests.Specs need to be submitted in the accepted formats:
- Non-Branded (No prominent logos, branding, etc)
OR
- Branded but the product in the Spec should be labelled “Can Replace with Your Product/Brand/Logo here” or something similar
- Deadline for Submissions is December 14th, Winners will be Announced by December 18th.
- Gift cards will be distributed digitally via Sign Up email.
- Submissions will be judged on Creativity, Originality, Quality and Impact to Potential Audience.
In order for Contest to fully run, Spexster needs to receive a MINIMUM of 10 overall community submissions before the deadline.
- Creators are responsible for any talent, location and/or music licenses and releases
- This contest is open to residents around the world and must be 18+ years of age
- Creator will be responsible for any revisions needed to be made (if client requests) and would need to be done in timely manner
- Submissions should not contain any type of profanity, nudity, offensive language or any other objectionable material
- Video requirements: 1920x1080P 16x9 or as requested eg. HD720p 1x1 Acceptable file formats are .mov, .avi, .mp4, .wmv. Acceptable codecs are H.264 (MP4), MPEG-4, H.263, MPGV, WMV, DivX. ProRes, Animation, or Uncompressed Codec.
